The Personal Job-Search Assistant (the "Assistant") is a personal, single-user application used only by its owner for the owner's own job search. This policy explains how it handles Google user data.

Google data the Assistant accesses

With the owner's explicit consent through Google's authorization screen, the Assistant requests two Gmail permissions for the owner's own account:

• Read access, used only to read (1) the email threads that the Assistant itself started with prospective employers, so that replies, interview invitations, rejections, bounces and opt-out requests can be detected, and (2) messages that the owner has deliberately labeled "JobAlerts" (saved job-search alert emails the owner subscribed to), so that listed job titles, companies and locations can be checked against the employers’ own career sites. No other mail is listed or read, and the Assistant does not open links in those alert emails on third-party job boards.
• Send access, used only to send job-search emails that the owner has authorized, and to send follow-ups in the same threads.

The Assistant does not browse, search, or read the owner's other email.

How data is stored

• Authorization credentials are stored encrypted on a private server controlled by the owner.
• Limited records are kept on that server: the messages the Assistant sent, a classification of each reply (for example "interview invitation" or "rejection"), and timestamps.
• Data is not stored on any third-party service operated for the Assistant.

Sharing, selling and use

• Google user data is not sold, not shared with third parties, and not used for advertising.
• Email content is not used to train generative AI or machine-learning models.
• Draft outgoing messages (written by the Assistant, not copied from the mailbox) may be checked by third-party AI model services before they are sent. The content of email the owner receives is processed only on the owner's private server and is not sent to those services.
• Google user data is used only to provide the job-search features described above. The Assistant's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access and deleting data

• The owner can revoke the Assistant's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or disconnect the account inside the Assistant, which removes the stored credentials.
• Stored records can be deleted on request to the contact below.

This website consists of static pages. It does not use cookies, analytics or advertising, and it does not collect information from visitors.
